| A group of wrinklies, touring the streets yesterday pm, stood, stared, held maps aloft and pondered loudly whether Mr M up his ladder (as usual) was an exhibit. The funniest thing was they were serious. |

Some of them are nothing like a bit of art! Haven't been round them all but some we have seen have been mince. The blurb hyping them up is the best bit. I do like Wangi's cones though and the naked torso is really good. _________________ What if......the hokey cokey IS what it's all about? |

I love the story Marissa.
Now if I could find a window cleaner that would be a real talking point
The cones. Wifie looking at it says "what a waste of an ice cream"
The torso
The gorse. I cant really see this one lasting. It goes from the cakestand over the Prom and onto the beach.
So not only are people walking on it, there's skateboards, tractors and that numpty on the motorcylcle. Not to mention dogs ( and one curious cat last night )
So far no repeat of my favourite "converse on a lampost" _________________ never gonna regret

I'm not impressed with any of it.
I'd rather watch Marissa's man up his ladder for a bit of entertainment. |

It's not just "Marissa's man up his ladder" - it's an installation showing the juxtaposition between man and space, showing how space just is....whilst man needs a solid mass to support him. The windows are representative of the idea that one cannot actually "see" space but one can "see" the man through the glass thereby forcing the spectator to think about whether the man is really there.....or not.......

No, I don't. I absolutely don't.
I like to think that all the lolly sticks were once attched to Big Feasts though. I bet I've eaten that many in my life. |

I don't get much of it either but good on them for having the courage of their convictions . Haven't seen the lolly sticks yet. Where are they?
Did you ever see the one in a magazine where the girl had filled her garden with bits of barbie dolls and the neighbours complained because it was so creepy? _________________ What if......the hokey cokey IS what it's all about? |

i like the arty metal flower things in Bedford Terrace, No 22 I think it is. But agree like Epy that most of it is an acquired taste.
not see the lolly sticks yet, but its very strange. |

We should all make sure we eat an ice lolly this week, keep the stick, do a self portrait on it and add it to the installation . Do you think anyone would notice? _________________ What if......the hokey cokey IS what it's all about? |

Marissa's handsome young trophy husband can usually be found up his ladder of a weekend brandishing a power tool, desperately trying to finish this house in the spare few hours at the weekend the poor lad gets.
A funny story - about him up the ladder...a friend phoned one time while he was out there, I said Mr M couldn't come to the phone as he was up a ladder. The caller thought this was our code for him being otherwise occupied on the loo and had a good giggle on the other end of the phone. I was bemused and they were embarrassed when I said - can't you hear him drilling?
Made me think about their house and how funny that some folk can't just say, they're having a poo. |
